As ESN Ankara University, we had the pleasure of introducing Erasmus students to the rich and diverse experience of a traditional Turkish breakfast. It was a delightful morning where students from different parts of the world gathered to enjoy an array of delicious dishes, including fresh bread, cheeses, olives, honey, and Turkish tea, offering them a taste of Turkish culture and hospitality.

After breakfast, we continued our cultural immersion by organizing a meaningful visit to Anıtkabir, the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Turkish Republic. During this visit, the Erasmus students had the opportunity to learn more about the history of modern Turkey, the values that shaped the nation, and Atatürk’s lasting legacy. Walking through the grounds of Anıtkabir, they were able to appreciate the architectural grandeur and the deep sense of national pride that the site embodies.

Overall, the day served as a wonderful introduction to Turkish culture and history for our Erasmus students, strengthening the bonds between them and their host country.
