ESN in Schools

The representatives of ESN Ankara University arrived at Dikmen Nevzat Girls’ Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School. The teachers and the vice-principals greeted the O.C group, showed them around the school and directed them to the presentation room. 

Along the way, the teacher showed ‘’Art and Design’’ section of the high school that were renovated by a firm. The whole section was no different from a tailor shop with workshop classes in which students were learning designing. Teacher said that the students love this section and are glad that they have the chance to show their art skills in such environment. Later the O.C group prepared the presentation and the teachers from different classes gathered their students and the presentation began. The presentation began with the importance of Erasmus+ projects. It also included everything that Erasmus+ offers: The youth exchanges, The Solidarity Corps, The Discover EU… The students and the teachers were amazed by the opportunities, most of the students taught that they were no programmes available for high school students. The group also introduced ‘’Erasmus Students Network’’ to the students, promoted them to become an ESN member in their local section when in their future university lives and taught them the importance of students helping students.

The presentation had ended with smiles and surprised faces. Afterwards the representatives answered every question that the students had in their mind. The students were not only informed about the future Erasmus+ projects that they can utilize, but also understood the importance of such projects in which they can take initiative according to their path. Both students and teachers were glad to have the ESN in their school.
