Imagine a group of Erasmus students arriving in Turkey, and we decided to give them a true Turkish experience. So, what did we do? We organized an engagement ceremony, henna night, and Turkish folk dance, showcasing some of the finest aspects of Turkish culture! Firstly, we arranged an "engagement" ceremony to illustrate the significance of Turkish family life, where the intentions of the bride and groom are declared in front of their families, a traditional ritual known as "nişan". Next, we prepared for the "henna" night, an essential part of Turkish weddings. With colorful attire, dances, and plenty of entertainment, we exhibited Turkish hospitality at its finest. Finally, the henna night arrived, and on this night, Erasmus students truly experienced the vibrancy of Turkish culture. With dances, songs, and, of course, the burning of henna, this night left them with an unforgettable experience. The Erasmus students didn't just witness Turkish culture; they absorbed it and held it close to their hearts. This experience once again demonstrated the strength of cross-cultural understanding and friendship.
