81 years ago today, at 9:05 AM Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK has passed away. Atatürk was a soldier, a statesman, and a reformer who was the founder and first president of the Republic of Turkey.
Three years before his death in 1938, he was given the honorary surname “Ataturk,” which means “Father of the Turks."
We are thankful to him for our freedom. He'll be the biggest symbol of our nation forever.
