The students took individual tours of the bazaar, where
they had the opportunity to browse a diverse selection of
vintage items, antiques, and second-hand goods. This self-guided exploration allowed students to engage with local
vendors, observe the market dynamics, and gain insight into Ankara’s rich cultural heritage.
Following the market visit, participants gathered to experience an essential part of Turkish cuisine—traditional gözleme. This tasting session served as both a culinary and cultural experience, fostering further interaction among the students. To conclude the event, a small haul session was held at Cemal Süreya Parkı, where students shared and discussed their purchases, reflecting on their experiences and the significance of responsible consumption. The event successfully combined
cultural immersion, sustainability, and community engagement, leaving participants with a deeper appreciation for Ankara’s heritage and a memorable firsthand experience of local life.
